In partnership with the Nature Investment Lab (NIL), the Green Bridge Facility has published the Territorial Risk Manual to help entrepreneurs and implementers of NbS assess and address systemic risks across five key dimensions: environmental, social, security, economic, and institutional.
Targeted at professionals in forest restoration, regenerative agriculture, and the bioeconomy, the Manual covers data sources, case studies, and practical advice for planning, due diligence, and execution. Drawing on the perspective of NIL member organizations, the manual offers recommendations for integrating territorial risk analysis throughout project lifecycles.
Coinciding with the COP30 Global Mutirão’s emphasis on halting and reversing deforestation and forest degradation, the manual urges investors and entrepreneurs to lead high-integrity projects with positive territorial impacts, calls for strengthened land governance and national data systems, and advocates for the creation of clusters of green businesses that scale and enhance Nature-based Solutions.
