The KYT-e platform gives users access to the KYT Index, an analytical tool developed by the Green Bridge Facility to assess territorial risk and opportunity in every Brazilian municipality. The Index comprises over 70 indicators from reliable public sources, distributed across six dimensions:
Evaluates how land is allocated, conserved and regulated. Reflects the quality of environmental governance and legal certainty by revealing where enforcement is effective, tenure is regularized, and where conflicts or non-compliance may be relevant for NbS initiatives.
Assesses environmental baseline and climate dynamics that shape water security, agricultural suitability, ecosystem resilience, and carbon potential. Illuminates both stability and volatility to reveal how natural forces support or threaten local development.
Captures the local capacity to create and sustain value, based on the local productive base, market connectivity, human capital, innovation and access to finance.
Examines the conditions that favor or hinder the ability of local communities to participate in and benefit from sustainable development.
Analyzes the reach and reliability of essential services like health, education, and sanitation; as well as measures of transparency and fiscal management.
Highlights the violence, conflicts, and accidents that disrupt daily life and logistics, deter investment, raise compliance costs, and erode social trust.
